why must i always hate my neighbors???

ok... so let me catch you up to speed on the
declention of my neighbors as of may 2003.

1) first came john and meghan... and they were good.
they lived next door for about a year or so.
they moved out last may.

2) then came some guy and his shit-eating kid.
there was a post about this particular neighbor,
but i don't feel like finding it... and it
doesn't matter anyway, i'm not talking about him.

3) neighbor #2 moved out about a month after
he moved in. this opened the doorway to my
current neighbors...
supposedly a guy and his sister and her kid...

... and their dog


now let me state that i have only seen these
neighbors about twice since they moved in (july?? august??)
one of the two times was just last week when
i saw the guy coming home and i mentioned
to him how his dog scales the fence in order
to come on the side where he hears people.

i think the guy's name was ron... and even
if it isn't, ron is a good name for a dickhead.

ANYWAYS....
so several days ago i noticed a note attached
to the neighbor's door... written on notebook
paper. naturally i was curious but i didn't
bother reading it as i'm not gay like that.

several days have past... i have not seen
the neighbors... no nothing. yesterday i
read the note... it said something about
someone leaving town for about 4-7 days
for a 'family affair' or wtfever that means.

apparently whomever the note was written
to has yet to receive it... as it still
sits wedged between the door as i type.

just about 20 minutes ago, it occured to me...

that note had been on the door for about
4 days... at least. no one has received
the note because its still in the door.

WHO THE FUCK IS FEEDING THE DOG?????

i don't like this dog. not because of any
behavior issue... but basically because
it physically scares me. its rather beastly
in appearance -- somewhat like a pit bull
mix... and it gives me a general feeling
of uneasiness.

however, i went outside and whistled for it.
it came.

i felt so terribly bad for it... as i knew
it was probably starving... and cold (because
the weather sucks... but fortunately i have
boogies dog house outside).

i had about 2 pounds of dog food left...
and a can of soft stuff....

i gave it all to the dog... which he gladly
accepted. his ribs are sticking out... but
i don't really pay much attention to ribs
because alot of animals are healthy and
expose ribs. however, i do take notice of
hip bones... as, to me, it is a sure sign
of malnutrition/starving.

this beast had bare hips....

i'm so pissed off right now... partly because
i was so stupid that i didn't realize it
sooner. i would have fed him. but mainly
because i despise bastard people like this.

i can understand not giving a fuck about
a dog because you have no fucking emotional
attachment to it... but CMON!


tomorrow.... after class....

if i see that fucking note in the doorway...

i'm calling fucking animal control

Screw that.... the dog was nicer to ya then any of your neighbors have been. Call animal control. The only bad thing is they will take him and depending on if he is a dog someone would want or not he may end up getting put down as I doubt the owner cares enough to go get him out of doggie jail. But the owner will be fined for cruelity to animals hopefully.

an another quick thing I thought of.. wouldnt it take a repeated abuse pattern to make that dogs hips boney. Like lack of food consistantly or minimal amount of food over months?

yeah... its definitely malnutrition....

i didn't see a note on the door today...
so i dunno if the neighbors got it or if the
wind carried it away (its gonna storm tonight).

i fed him again. he ate. gave him some water.

and speaking of animal control, the neat thing
about conway is... its against their policy
to put an animal to sleep. they keep a small
number of animals at the shelter... until they
are given to a new home. so i know he will be
ok. i would just be sad that he never got to
run and play but be in a cage 24/7. [img]frown.gif[/img]

the poor thing is just so attention starved...
climbing the fence... bombarding ya when you go
outside... i feel so terribly sorry for it.

i think they said his name was 'cage'... which
bothers me tremendously, simply due to the irony of it all...
but in my experience, any dog that is mentally
and emotionally abandoned would probably feel
better with a new name.

i think what i'm gonna do is continue feeding
the dog, regardless of the unnecessary strain
on my expenses... as i don't wish to see it
miserable when it certainly doesn't have to be.

should i ever see the neighbors packing their
shit in the middle of the night... i'm taking
that dog away from them.

Shit when I read ya say something about saying Ron is a good name for a dickhead.. I thought i would jokingly say 'My Dad's name is Ron'.. then scrolling down.. italipino did it for me... whether she was serious or not, I'm not sure.. but still..


To the bigger issue...
I hate people who neglet their animals like that. Our neighbors used to do it.. And a friend of mine used to do that same as what you're doing for their neighbors dog. They'd barely ever be home and it'd scratch at my friends fence cause they were always outside and it was crying for attention.

i agree....
but suffice to say that the reason this is
bad is because i share my backyard with my
neighbor... so its not like i can't help but

and as for the 'ron' thing....
when i was making my first post... i had pondered
a moment about what name i should use in that
segment of the post. the first thing that came
to mind was MR. MOM... and how michael keeton
had issues with his wife's boss... who was named
ron. anyways... michael keeton, when mentioning
her boss... always stressed the RRRR sound...
so thats why 'ron' was chosen... it was a personal
joke within me that i didn't really expect to
explain.
